Bonnici Group

Oxford House Ltd. was entrusted by Bonnici Group to furnish two floors from their new premises in Burmarrad. Bonnici Bros. Ltd. is the original and foremost company within the Bonnici Group, set up in 1975 and provides services to the commercial, industrial and national building and construction sectors.

Bonnici Group underwent a recent expansion to their Burmarrad facilities. Our design team and in house design architect worked closely together with Bonnici Group to provide executive and operative office furniture that will help them thrive in their business. The new offices reflect new insights, ideas and solutions that address the diverse ways people are working today and demonstrates how the workplace is designed to support the company during their daily work.

For the operative floor our design team proposed the 5th Element range from Italian brand LAS for the desks, complete with coloured GALASSIA operative chairs that added a pop of colour throughout the whole floor. Since 5th Element is so versatile, our design team managed to use the same range in different ways to fulfil all the different uses which Bonnici Bros. had in mind; ‘L’ shaped desks were used for the segregated offices whilst benches using multiples tops and a common structure were used for the open spaces.

Bonnici Bros. wanted to equip the penthouse level with offices for top management. Hence, all the offices were done in LAS’ FILL EVO range in a rich walnut vein. A great deal of attention was given in the selection of the executive chairs to go with each office. The Neo Chair was chosen in a high back version, with a chrome base and upholstered in anthracite synthetic leather with a detail of silver stitching on the backrest and seat. The NEO chair was once again used around the boardroom table, but upholstered in tortora synthetic leather with brown stitching. This choice, together with a wenge’ boardroom table with chamfered edging, gave Bonnici Bros. a meeting area that apart from providing both comfort and style, reflects the status that the company has within its sector.

Our office furniture department also provided Bonnici Bros. with glass partitions at Penthouse level to segregate each office from one another. Clear glazed panels were used throughout in order to allow for the natural ingress of light and also creating a modern environment. Double glazed panels were used around the boardroom with mechanically operated blinds which prove useful when extra privacy is needed during meetings.
