Scope
Forming part of a synonymous and modern import and retailer of home appliances, kitchens, home furniture, bedding and office solutions, Oxford House is seeking to recruit the services of a Delivery Person and a Delivery Helper.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering mainly home appliances to customers at their homes or businesses. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the appliances are delivered safely and in a timely manner, whilst working closely with other delivery personnel and in the case of the Delivery Person, will be required to drive the company vehicles throughout the day at work.  

Responsibility

• Load items onto delivery vehicles and ensure that they are secure.
• Transport mainly appliances to customer locations in a safe and timely manner.
• Safely and professionally unload items in the designated room or area.
• Inspect items delivered, ensuring that all aspects meet the customer exigencies and report any matters arising to the supervisor.
• Connect home appliances and commission their warranty, where required, demonstrating to the customers their functionality, while addressing any queries.
• Collect from the customers’ premises any home appliances that need to be disposed of, together with packaging, for responsible waste recycling purposes.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and customer interactions.
• Support the warehouse function as dictated by work exigencies.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with customers and resolving any issues or concerns that may arise.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the delivery vehicle and equipment.
• Follow with uppermost responsibility road safety regulations, bearing in mind that traffic contraventions and penalty points are directly attributed to the vehicle driver.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols.

Requirements

• Smart appearance.
• Proven experience in deliveries.
• Valid and clean driver’s license B in the case of the Delivery Person (driver must be over 21 years of age).
• Clean police conduct.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate fluently in Maltese and English.
