Falmec won the XXVIth edition of the ADI Compasso d’oro award!

Oxford House, the exclusive agent for Falmec, takes pride in announcing that Falmec, thanks to its Spazio Island Hood, has won the XXVIth edition of the ADI Compasso D’Oro Award, the most prestigious award existing today, in the world of design.

Established in 1954, the Compasso D’Oro ADI Award is the oldest but above all the most authoritative world design award. Developed from an idea of Gio Ponti, it was for years organised by the Rinascente Department Stores, with the aim of highlighting the value and quality of the products, of Italian design, where subsequently, it was donated to ADI, with the latter having continued to organise it since 1958, ensure that the award’s impartiality and integrity is rigorously monitored.

The Compasso D’Oro prize is awarded on the basis of a preselection made by the Permanent Design Observatory of ADI, made up of a commission of experts, designers, critics, historians, journalist specialists, members of ADI or external to it, all committed to continuously collecting, year after year, information, allowing for thorough evaluation and selection of the best products which are then published in the ADI Design Index Year Books.
