Cleaning a dishwasher

With food debris being put inside the dishwasher each time it is used, it’s really important to regularly clean the appliance. For best cleaning results, we recommend that you use our tested and approved dishwasher cleaning agents so that your appliance is hygienically clean and able to offer you optimal results.

Our Dishwasher Cleaner effectively removes grease, starch, and protein residues from the interior of the appliance, improving both its lifetime and performance. To keep your dishwasher spotlessly clean, simply follow the steps below.

Step by step guide

Ensure that the dishwasher is empty. We recommend cleaning your appliance right after you have ran a cycle since this means you will have clean crockery and cutlery ready to use.

1. Check that the filter is not blocked with food remnants or other objects. Be sure to use protective gloves in case you find any sharp objects, such as glass fragments.
2. Add the contents of one Dishwasher Cleaner sachet by carefully opening the dishwasher door and emptying the contents inside the detergent dispenser.
3. Run the Machine Care programme. If your appliance is not fitted with Machine Care, we recommend using the hottest programme available.

If using the Dishwasher Care product which comes in a bottle, you can use the contents to clean the interior before running the Machine Care cycle. See video for more information.
