How to use pyrolytic cleaning

Say goodbye to scrubbing your oven – Bosch’s pyrolytic self-cleaning function takes care of the dirty work for you! With just a push of a button, food deposits and grease inside your oven are transformed into ash, which you can easily wipe away with a damp cloth. The oven heats up to an intense 485°C, ensuring a deep clean while you relax or plan your next recipe.

Note: Pyrolytic cleaning is not designed for frequent use, and should be performed every 6 to 12 months for a thorough deep clean.

Step by step guide

  1. Prepare the Oven:
Remove any items from inside the oven, including trays and racks. Close the oven door.

  2. Activate the Pyrolytic Cleaning Function:
Select the pyrolytic cleaning function on your oven. The internal temperature will rise to a scorching 485°C.

  3. Safety First:
During the cleaning process, the oven door may get very hot. Avoid touching the door until the cleaning cycle is complete.

  4. Finish the Cleaning:
Once the pyrolytic cleaning is done, let the oven cool. Then, simply wipe away any remaining ash with a damp cloth.
