Scope: Oxford House, synonymous with the import and retail of home appliances, kitchens, home furniture, bedding and office solutions, is seeking to recruit the services of a Sales and Design Consultant.  The Sales and Design Consultant is responsible for the conceptualisation, design and retail journey, exhibiting to the clients an offering, be it a kitchen, living area, or bedroom, that meets and exceeds their expectations and exigencies.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•  Welcome and engage with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Understand customer requirements and exigencies through active listening and by posing relevant questions.
• Provide guidance and recommendations based on customers’ preferences and budget requirements.
• Design the kitchen, bedroom or other furniture requirements, from conception to completion, while collaborating closely with other design team members.
• Prepare accurate, detailed and attractive renders, furniture plans, and attractive quotations.
• Negotiate and close sales transactions, efficiently and accurately, aiming to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
• Be actively involved in the furniture ordering process, following up on changes required, ensuring customer satisfaction is prioritised upon.
• Address concerns professionally, ensuring the response time is within standards established.
• Seek post quotation diligent feedback that allows for improved closure rates.
• Remain abreast with the ever-evolving industry trends, while garnering a high level of product knowledge.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

 Requirements:

• Proficiency in both Maltese and English is essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent listening and problem–solving abilities.
• Training will be provided, yet competence in design software and similar tools is considered an asset.

 Education and Experience:

•  MQF Level 5 qualification in Interior Design, Spatial Design or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-years experience in the furniture field, interior design, or a similar job role is highly desirable.
