Logistics Executive

Oxford House, synonymous with the import and retail of home appliances, kitchens, home furniture, bedding and office solutions, is seeking to recruit the services of a logistics executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will form part of the logistics and supply chain team responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and information within the organisation. This role involves a combination of administrative, operational and data management tasks to support efficient logistics.
  • To provide and excel in customer care, provide accurate information to clients, and promote the services and products of Oxford House at all times;
  • To take a leading stance and participate actively in the drawing up of appointments for deliveries of goods, installations of furniture and other similar requirements, always ensuring that the resources of the organisation are used to a maximum through the effective coordination of employee schedules while keeping at the forefront customer exigencies;
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse and delivery people to coordinate deliveries to clients;
  • Update and manage databases, spreadsheets and documentation to track inventory levels, orders and deliveries;
  • Address enquiries and resolve logistics-related issues promptly;
  • To fulfill general administration duties including the processing of invoices, sales and purchase orders and the issuance of warranty certificates, where applicable;
  • To perform cashiering duties, end-of-day processing of deliveries and generate performance reports as deemed necessary;
  • To support the shipping function, by having a clear understanding of shipments reaching the warehouse, with the intent of planning and coordinating in advance, the scheduling of deliveries and/or installations;
  • To coach and mentor, the warehouse, delivery and installations team, ensuring their productivity levels are within parameters set;
  • Coordinate with various departments to facilitate order fulfilment.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent overstock or shortages..
  • Filing and office management-related tasks.
  • Processing of invoices and other adhoc tasks that may be required.
  • To maintain a confident and mature approach, while practising tact and diplomacy;
  • O Level standard of education. Additional education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management will be considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft applications and Shireburn software will be considered an asset.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of logistics and shipping processes is a valuable asset.
  • Knowledge of the Maltese and English language is a must.
